Quick little tip. I’ve found using Blind Copy (Bcc) to be an effective follow-up system for decisions or actions that you are ‘waiting for’ others to complete. Oftentimes, things get overlooked or forgotten until it’s too late because there is no effective, simple way to capture those activities that others are doing before you need to touch it again.

When you are working in your email app, use the Bcc function to email a copy to yourself. Then create a folder in your ‘Inbox’ and name it ‘waiting for’.

Next, create a rule that then dumps all emails from yourself into your ‘waiting for’ folder. Now anytime you want to see what should be followed up on, you can goto into this ‘waiting for’ folder and do a quick sweep. I pull them into my ‘action’ folder when they need to be re-addressed. It’s a great way to stay ahead of the game, or in my case, to keep up! )
