I’ve begun quietly letting people know that I have begun to build my blog. Over the years, my personal interests & business activities have led to a broad and diverse collection of friends and associates.

The impact of how this will change my interactions with those that read JBIF is currently unknown. But I suspect I am not alone and that many people have several ‘different worlds’ they live in. And I believe blogging’s impact on colliding those worlds into each other will be dramatic.

Consider how compartmentalized our lives have become.

The blog is the great equalizer. New synergies will occur. Relationships unschackled. This is the web2.0 movement.

Clients will ask about Sonus & GTD. Friends might inquire about CAMB or gadget obsessions. Family will just shake their heads and wonder ‘who is this guy’ and why does he love fantasy baseball so much?

Parting Shot:

When I tell people about the blog, I’m always thinking in the back of my mind; “What will they think about the last post?” or “Did I fix the spelling errors yet?” or “Will they subscribe?”

I find the novelty of it all quite surprising. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it so much. Strangely liberating.
