Audio of winning kick in OT – Saints @ Bears (Dec. 11th, 2008)

I went to my first NFL game at Soldier Field last week. Saw the Bears beat the Saints in OT with a game winning FG. For some reason, I recorded the final minute using my iPhone. Some pretty interesting things were captured. The anticipation, the roar as Gould makes it, the celebratory ‘Bear Down Chicago Bears’ that broke out amongst the largely drunk crowd. The little whoop at the end is me……funny stuff. Regards ~ JB

NE vs. Philly – Part 2 (Don’t forget to post your drafts)

This was written after the Philly game. I didn’t post it up cuz I wanted to work on it. Too bad, as it appears the prediction within might come true tonight. Giants up by 11 in the 3rd. Eli going for his “signature moment”.

“Well, my giddiness has subsided. The Pats had just enough moxy to finish the deal. But Philly has laid it out for the rest of the league. I honestly think that behind the scenes there is probably alot of discussion happening in the coaches ranks to build a gameplan to stop the Pats.

Jimmy Johnson laid it out on the Fox Pregame Sunday morning. Andy Reid took it up another notch.

Next big test should come from Pittsburgh. I don’t think their secondary can handle NE but we shall see. The most likely upset could be the Giants at the end of the season. An unruly place to play, their front four should be able to create some havoc and pressure on Brady. If they can stay healthy that might be the best hope to stop them.

What will the line be in the Miami @ NE game? +35??”

Eagles making a statement

Beautiful thing going on in sports tonight.

3rd Qtr and the Eagles have just gone ahead by four. Vegas had the Pats favored by 24. No one predicted Philly could win. The New England juggernaut is steamrolling the rest of the NFL. (9-1 ATS)

The secret; pressure Brady. Be aggressive. Smash NE in the f@ckin mouth.

Think of all the suicide pools that might be getting blown to hell if NE goes down. Now the rest of the teams in the NFL will study game film and discover the secret sauce for beating the Pats.

This game was the perfect set-up by Vegas oddsmakers. Logic suggests that most the betting public is riding the current New England streak. The media hype surrounding their quest for history has reached a meteoric level and the public’s consumption insatiable. As all ‘bubbles’ when the critical noise reaches a certain level, this bubble too is poised to be pierced

The ’72 Dolphins and their ringleader Shula are hoping beyond hope that Philly can pull this off tonight. If not, their unique page in the history books will be no more. No longer will they have a platform to whine to the rest of the world about their greatness.

Ex Dolphin AJ Feely, in for the oft-injured Donavan McNabb, is playing the game of his life. Feely is playing as if he has a multi-year contract riding on this performance tonight. Wouldn’t he be an improvement in San Francisco or Baltimore?

Update: 4th Qtr – 11:09 remaining. Pats driving. Game getting more exciting. I’m playing against Randy Moss in my fantasy league this week. Playing my hated rival. Actually he’s not a rival. 2nd worst PPG in our league but he’s irritatingly lucky. This year he actually drafted a good team (obviously inspired by the email beating I delivered on him in the pre-season) and we are locked up in a good battle. He’s up by 10 and has Moss. I have ‘wee’ Willy Parker going tomorrow night. Lito Shephard is playing his ass off head’s up on Moss tonight.
