This being the official kickoff to summer, I figure now is as good a time as any to start getting my ‘blog on’. So without further delay, this is my initial post.
This blog will be about itunes, macs, gtd, colorado, san francisco, mortgages, real estate, sonus networks, technology, gadgets, music, santosa, simple living, frugality, sports, and just about anything else that strikes my fancy.
Expressing oneself in a public yet semi-anonymous forum is appealing. It’s going to be cathartic and damn interesting.
In the future, we will all have significant digital identities. I spent some time today looking for an obituary for somebody that I was thinking about today. This person passed away in the early 90′s. I’m so accustomed to getting answers for queries or curiousities online now that ‘for sure’ something like that would be on ‘The Google’.
Nothing. Absolutely no hits.
How odd that some people will never have a digital identity and twenty years from now, everyone will have every significant moment of their lives archived in a handheld device they can carry around in their pocket. People can’t even imagine it yet.
I think I’ll look back and be grateful that I spent time establishing the framework for a digitial identity now. Imagine if we had been blessed with such a resource twenty, fifty, or even hundreds of years ago. Imagine what we would know about ourselves and where we came from…….
